Restored to Glory Dance Ministry began in 1987 with 40 dancers. Today, it has grown into one of the largest Christian dance ministries in the nation with well over 200 dedicated Christian dancers, operating a branch in Michigan and Indiana. Restored to Glory's Statement of Purpose:
We, the dancers of Restored to Glory Dance Ministry, willingly present our bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord in the dance, which is our reasonable service of worship (Romans 12:1).We will praise the Lord in the dance (Psalms 149:3) and love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30).We will not worship other gods (Exodus 34:14) as the children of Israel did when they danced around the golden calf in the wilderness (Exodus 32:19), but we will offer up the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving to our God (Hebrews 13:15).

Our bodies are not for immorality, but for the Lord.  Therefore, we will join ourselves to the Lord in one spirit, for our bodies are members of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:20).  Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  Therefore, we will glorify God in our bodies (1 Corinthians 6:19-20); we willingly offer ourselves as a sacrifice that the dance may be restored to glorify God through us.
